HU ANG

日本工程院外籍院士,东京大学建筑学博士, 東京大学生産技術研究所特任教授。
1974年生于四川成都,城市、建筑、聚落、庭园研究者。先后执教四川大学、牛津大学和东京大学,行走四十多国探访上百个聚落、二百余座城市。著有《日本枢纽型车站建设及周边城市开发》《藏族民居的平面构成》《京都庭园细见》等著作。
世界银行城市建设专家,主持参与中国、印度等国家重大建设项目咨询评审与设计研究,在多项国际设计竞赛中担任评委。专业为城市TOD工学、区域及城市规划、城市设计及建筑设计。
Foreign Fellow of the Engineering Academy of Japan, PhD in Arch. Project Professor of Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo.
Born in Chengdu, Sichuan in 1974, he is a researcher of urban plan, architecture, settlements, and Japanese gardens. He has taught at Sichuan University, Oxford University, and the University of Tokyo, and has visited hundreds of settlements and more than 200 cities in over 40 countries. He is the author of "The Construction of Hub Stations and Development of Surrounding Regions in Japan", "A study on Composition of Tibetan Vernacular Dwellings" and "A Closer Look at Kyoto Gardens".
He is an expert in urban construction for the World Bank and has been involved in consultancy reviews and design studies for major construction projects in China, India, and other countries, and has been a judge in many international design competitions. He specializes in urban TOD engineering, regional and urban planning, urban design, and architectural design.
